Picasso Rubber fin keepers
• Rubber Fin Keepers are an accessory that can make the difference during the fin stroke but they are not as well known by novices while they are used frequently by Champions.
• When a foot-pocket size is on the large side, the diver looses as much as 40% of the power of the entire fin, and the foot moves inside the foot-pocket producing undesireable noices that can cause a leary fish to scatter.
• Pull it over the foot and after the foot is inside the pocket you pull one of the bands under the heel and another one behind it.
• The front band should cover the neck of the foot or the top of the foot-pocket. This way, the blade and the footpocket hug each other more, reducing the amount of wasted energy through loose space.
• The fin is also less noisy and doesn’t wear you out as much during the fin stroke.
• It also is appreciated by those who do long shore dives as it wears less on the calf muscle producing a more efficient kick of the blade.
