Fins Carbonio GFT Force Pathos
Carbonio GFT FORCE Carbon NanoTechnology Blades
• In 2018 Carbonio GFT redefined the technoly of carbon blades manufacturing again, by entering into cooperation with Nano-Tech SpA, a specialized company working for increasing the perfomance of the conventional composite materials for the specific application of various fields including the aerospace industry.
• The result of this collaboration is the FORCE blade - the first spearfishing and freediving carbon blade employing nanotechnology processes for the carbon production. This leads to a numerous advantages:
THICKNESS
• The FORCE is one of the thinnest carbon blades on the market today.
• The application of nanotechnology resolved the issues where the fin needs to be thicker at certain structural stress points.
• The classical carbon blades are usually thin at both ends, but to avoid breakage, the angle are is made thicker and this affects the performance of the part of the blade, which is responsible for actually displacing water.
• The latest generation of carbon fins are trying to achieve as thinner as possible angle section, often at the very edge of making the blade structurally fragile.
• This part of the blade becomes even more stressed when the divers demand an even bigger angle of the blade of 32°.
• Thanks to the nanotechnology, this issue is now resolved, resulting in a very thin and light, yet strong blade.
WEIGHT
• The GFT FORCE blade boasts unique lightness, due to the opportunity offered by the new technology to have much thinner blade compared to the classic carbon fins.
• The reduced weight of the fin results in less effort and increased finning thrust.
WATER CHANNELLING
• Another novelty can be immediately seen seen with the GFT FORCE.
• Unlike the classic carbon blades, the surface of the GFT Force is not flat. It hase a wavy profile instead.
• This new geometry provides an incredible response with the paralel waves providing delicate channels. Instead of dispersing in various directions, the displaced water is channeled through the entired length of the blade, which combined with the lateral rails results in optimized kick.
TORSION ADAPTATION
• This is the functionality of the FORCE blade which the Italian champion Frederico Mana considers the most amazing and unique. He acknowleges that the FORCE blade has unique behaviour, twisting and adapting itself to eliminate the differences in the diver's finning technique.
• The use of nanotechnology has made the blade very flexible, and in the water it always tends to stand perpenducularly to the vector of the thrust.
• This way the fin always tends to assume the best thrust position when displacing the water even for divers who don't have perfect finning technique.
• This way the FORCE is able to absorb postural and technical errors and always push with great efficiency.
RIGIDITY VERSIONS:
• The Force Blade is offered in three rigidity versions in accordance with the diver's weight:
- FORCE 1 - less than 60 kg
- FORCE 2 - 61-79 kg
- FORCE 3 - over 80 kg
DIMENSIONS BLADES:
• Length: 850 mm
• Width: 200 mm
• Weight: < 200 gr (naked blade)
• Angle 32°: This blade angle is recommended for divers who cover long surface distances as the fin remains underwater and does not lose energy.
• This angle reduces fatigue and is able to cover effortlessly rough waves.
• When starting from the the bottom, keep your legs a bit more wider to achieve maximum thrust.
